MAT KILAU: THE BRAVE WARRIOR

This Merdeka, our children take us back in time through a short drama inspired by the story of Mat Kilau, the brave warrior.

Behind the scenes, it was more than just a performance. They memorised their scripts, understood and stepped into their characters, learned to express emotions, and practised speaking with the right tone and confidence. They also explored the beauty of the Malay language through pantun, learning its rhythm, meaning and cultural significance.

Through this experience, they learned about courage, teamwork, discipline, communication, confidence and perseverance.

Most importantly, they learned that their voices matter, their efforts matter, and they too can stand proudly on stage and tell a story.

This Merdeka, we celebrate not only the freedom of our nation, but also the courage of every child to discover their own strengths and shine in their own way.
